Strong Performances from Bovell, Bleday at BU

Boston, MA. --Today’s meet at cross-town rival Boston University saw numerous top finishes and personal records for the Eagles. The team faced off against BU, UMass Lowell, Sacred Heart and Delaware State.
The performance of the meet for the Eagles’ came from Devaun Bovell who took first place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.34, also besting his previous personal record of 8.43 set at the ACC Championships last year.
The Eagles’ also showed a strong performance in the 800 meters. Collin Fedor came up with a tactical victory (1:56.49) while Gabriel McLarnan placed third with a time of 1:56.58. The 4x400 relay team placed third (3:21.50) with great contributions from Gray, James, McLarnan, and Daly.
John Bleday earned a hard fought third place finish (2:29.95) after taking a tumble midway through the race. Six Eagles recorded personal records; Newhouse, Hanson, Lucas, and Denari in the 3000 meter, Ryan Cooney in the mile (4:21.54), and Devaun Bovell in the 60 meter hurdles.
The Eagles look forward to their next meet at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on 1/30 and 1/31.
