Tri-Meet Victory for Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -Â Boston College hosted Keene State and Connecticut College in a non-conference tri-meet on January 18th. The final scores for the men were BC 594.1, Keene 491.1 and Connecticut 490.2. For the women, BC finished with 537.5, Connecticut with 463.6 and Keene with 449.0. Despite the back-to-back competitions that this weekend held, the Eagles stepped up to the test and were victorious once again.
Junior Dan Kelly took first place in the 50 yd. Freestyle once again with 20.46, beating his own time from the Marist meet by .3 seconds. Freshman John Mooers also had a top swim in the 100 yd. Freestyle, taking third with 47.38, finishing right behind teammates Kelly (46.27) and Nick Henze (46.88). Sophomore Bret Bonzell had a personal best in the 50 yd. Freestyle where he went 22.85, and Junior Shawn McNiff had a personal best as well in the 100 yd. Freestyle where he went 51.86.
Junior Kristen Webber reached her personal best in the 500 yd. Freestyle with a time of 5:26.87. Senior Stephanie Ng also had her personal best time in the 50 yd. Freestyle which was 26.65. Other top swims were seen by Junior Jordan Parry in the 100 yd. Butterfly where she finished in first with 58.18 and by Junior Maureen Barron in the 50 yd. Freestyle where she went 24.34 for second place.
