
ITA Preseason Poll Ranks 3 Eagles in Top 25

ITA Divsion I Women's Rankings
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released the ITA Division I Women's Preseason Rankings, along with the selections for the 2014 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.
The ITA ranked sophomore Lexi Borr and senior Jessica Wacnik as the #21 doubles team in the country. With this ranking the pair has automatically made it into the All-American Championship Tournament, a national event in Pacific Palisades, California. This event is set to begin on Saturday, September 27 with prequalifying singles and doubles matches. The tournament is hosted by UCLA and main draw action is scheduled for October 2-5.
Joining Borr and Wacnik is newcomer Asiya Dair who was ranked #10 in the country on the Newcomer/Freshman rankings. Dair was also accepted into the prequalifer singles round at the All-American Championships.
These two accomplishments mark the first time that a doubles team has been selected as a prequlaifier and the first ever BC women's player to be in the Freshman/Newcomer rankings.
Three Eagles were also placed on the Alternate list for prequalifying singles. Wacnik is ranked as the #1 alternate, Borr is ranked #14 and junior Katya Vasilyev is ranked #27 on the list.
The Eagles begin their season on September 19 at the Brown Invitational.
