Coach Thomas Discusses Battle in Beantown

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College women's cross country coach Randy Thomas sat down to talk about the success of this year's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, hosted annually by BC women's cross country.
Senior Liv Westphal placed first overall with a time of 16:30.0, 21 seconds in front of the next finisher and a new meet record. Senior Danielle Winslow finished 20th at 17:32.0, Laura Hottenrott--in her first meet of the season--placed 37th at 17:52.0, Brittany Winslow finished at 18:15.0 and sophomore Megan Young finished at 18:20.0.
The top five finishers earned Boston College a fourth place team finish with 192 points. Coach Thomas talked about his team's confidence and what the runners can do to improve for their next race at the University of Wisconsin in the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Oct. 17.
