McCaffrey, Murphy Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior forward Stephanie McCaffrey (women's soccer) and graduate student quarterback Tyler Murphy (football) have been named the first Eagles of the week of the 2014-15 season.
McCaffrey has a point in three of the Eagles four games this season. She had an assist in the 1-0 win over Jacksonville on Friday and added a goal and assist versus North Florida on Sunday afternoon. McCaffrey leads the team with two goals and three assists for the Eagles.
Murphy threw for 173 yards and rushed for a 118 more in his Boston College debut. He passed and rushed for a touchdown to lead the Eagles to a 30-7 win over Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. It marked the first time in his career that Murphy rushed for over 100 yards.
Women's soccer (3-1) has a trio of road games this week at Northeastern, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Illinois State. Football (1-0) hosts Pittsburgh on Friday night at Alumni Stadium.
