The Boston College women's soccer team will host Harvard (3-0) on Friday at 4 p.m. in the first home game of the 2014 season at Newton Soccer Field. The Eagles are currently riding a five-game road win streak and are 6-1-0 on the season.
BC vs. Harvard
Since 1990, Harvard leads the overall series vs. Boston College, 10-8-2. The Eagles have won the last three outings by a goal margin of 13-2. The two teams played twice in 2009 - once during the regular season (BC 4-1) and then in the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 13 (BC, 1-0). In the 2008 season the two teams battled to a double-overtime 1-1 draw. Since joining the ACC, BC has not lost to Harvard.
The Streak
Boston College has won games at Jacksonville (1-0), at North Florida (5-0), at Northeastern (1-0), at Milwaukee (2-0) and at Illinois State (4-1). In the run, sophomore Hayley Dowd has scored five goals with two assists, while senior Stephanie McCaffrey has three goals and four assists. Junior Lauren Bernard has recorded one goal and four assists, while senior goalkeeper Alexandra Johnson has made 19 saves and has a GAA of 0.21.
