Winslow Named To All-ACC Academic Team

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College sophomore Danielle Winslow has been named to the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, announced July 2 by Commissioner John Swofford.
To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a minimum 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Winslow was a top performer in the steeplechase all season, earning four top five finishes in five races. She earned second place finishes at the UMass Invitational (10:47.33), the New England Championships (10:28.10) and the ECAC Championships (10:18.51). Winslow also took fourth in the event at the ACC Championships (10:25.93).
The Queensbury, N.Y., product improved her time by nearly 30 seconds from the start of the season. Winslow's top time the previous year in the 3000m steeplechase was 10:56.40.
Winslow represented Boston College in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships in June.
