
Carpenter Named Hockey East Player of the Month

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Junior forward Alex Carpenter has been named Hockey East Player of the Month for October. This is Carpenter's sixth career monthly award by the league. The North Reading, Mass. native earned Player of the Month in January and February of 2013 and Rookie of the Month in October, December, and March of 2012.
Carpenter recorded 18 points in seven games during the month of October, including seven multiple-point outings and scored at least one goal in all but one game. Carpenter has tallied an assist in each game so far this season. The North Reading, Mass. native is tops in the nation in points per game with 2.57 and leads Hockey East in points (18), goals (8), and assists (10).
Freshman forward Kenzie Kent was the runner-up for Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month. Kent has amassed seven points on two goals and five assists and ranks second in the WHEA in points per game by a rookie (.88).
The No. 1 Boston College women's ice hockey team (7-0-1, 3-0-0 WHEA) is back in action against league opponent Northeastern on the road Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.
