The Boston College women's basketball team will host Boston University in the season home opener at Conte Forum on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. The Eagles (1-1) are coming off two-game road trip. BC lost to No. 6 Stanford on Friday night and two days later earned a win over St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoon.
This will be the 21st meeting between Boston College and Boston University. The series is tied at 10-10. The first game between the teams took place on Jan. 17, 1978 at the Roberts Center. BC lost, 70-41. BC’s first win over BU was in 1983 in a, 53-52, victory on the road. The Eagles defeated the Terriers, 63-52, last year behind 14 points and six boards from Kristen Doherty. Lauren Engeln had 13 points, while Katie Zenevitch posted a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds).

LAST TIME OUT
Boston College came back from a 13 point deficit to earn an 82-72 victory over St. Mary’s on Sunday in Moraga, California. Kelly Hughes finished with a career-high 24 points with seven rebounds and six assists, while Nicole Boudreau had 15 points and nine rebounds. BC shot 52 percent from the floor in the final 10 minutes of the game. The Eagles hit 10-of-12 foul shots and went 4-for-9 from the three-point arc. In the Eagles runs, Boudreau had 12 points and Hughes had seven.
TEAM NOTES
• Boston College has hit 20 three-pointers in two games. The Eagles are shooting 33.9 percent from the arc. In the last game, BC went 11-for-38 from the arc in the win over St. Mary’s. The 38 three’s set a new program record for most three’s in a single game.
• Junior Nicole Boudreau is leading the three-point attack as she is shooting 50 percent from long range. The team captain went 3-for-3 in the season opener vs. Stanford then proceeded to hit her first long range shot vs. St. Mary’s. She then hit two consecutive three’s late in the game to give the Eagles the lead for good vs. the Gaels.
• Sophomore Emilee Daley, who earned her first career start vs. St. Mary’s, is 5-for-13 from the arc (38.5%). She is averaging 18.5 minutes per game and 9.5 points per game.
• Sophomore Kelly Hughes set a number of career-highs in the win over St. Mary’s. She scored a career-high 24 points, matched her career-high in shots taken (16) and set personal highs with 13 three-pointers taken. Hughes also hit 8-for-8 from the foul line, another personal high in free throws made. Her six assists matched her career-high.
• In two games, BC has had two different starting lineups. The only players to start both games are Nicole Boudreau, Kelly Hughes and Katie Quandt. Two freshmen – Marti Mosetti and Ashley Kelsick – have also earned a first career start along with sophomore Emilee Daley.
• Junior Kat Cooper notched a career-high in steals when she had four vs. St. Mary’s. • BC will host Indiana in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
