Boston, Mass. - The Eagles closed the fall season with strong finishes in all three events at the Foot of the Charles. BC won the Varsity Four by 56 seconds, the largest margin of the day for any winning crew. This crew started in the 3rd position and passed both Radcliffe and URI for a decisive victory in the event. The B boat, comprised of 5 freshmen, rowed a strong race to finish 4th in the event.
The Eagles rowed two boats in the Varsity 8 event, placing 3rd and 14th. This year the Varsity Eights were challenged with a longer race course, 6000 meters, making it their longest race of the fall season. Both crews raced competitively against their Charles River rivals, Northeastern, Radcliffe, Boston University, MIT, and guests University of Rhode Island. Both openweight and lightweight crews raced in the Varsity Eight event, with multiple entries from all schools, there were a total of 23 crews in the Varsity Eight event.
