Women's Soccer Travels to No. 4 Virginia

The Boston College women's soccer team will hit the road for two consecutive road games this week. The Eagles will play at No. 4 Virginia on Thursday, October 9 at 7 p.m. That game will be aired on NESNPlus.
Following the trip to Virginia, Boston College will head to Louisville, Kentucky to play the Cardinals for the first time in program history. This is Louisville's first year playing in the ACC.
Boston College is currently 8-5-0 on the season and is coming off a tough 3-0 loss at Syracuse.
The Eagles lead the overall series against Virginia, 6-4-1. The two teams met last season at the Newton Soccer Field and Virginia defeated BC, 2-1. All three goals in the game were second in the second half. The last time BC earned a win against UVA was on Sept. 18, 2011, 2-0.

• Stephanie McCaffrey has eight goals this season, which gives her 34 career goals. She is now tied in third on the all-time list with Victoria DiMartino '13.
• Junior Coco Woeltz earned the NCAS (National Consortium for Academics and Sports) October Player of the Month.
• BC RPI is at 29 with an 8-5 record. Last season at the end of the year, BC's record was 10-8-1 and the Eagles proceeded to win three straight games in the NCAA Tournament to advance to the Elite Eight.
