The Boston College women’s soccer team will play Duke on Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium at 1 p.m. in an ACC matchup. Fans can view the game on the Blue Devil Network.
The Eagles are currently 10-7 overall and 3-5 in the ACC. Duke is 7-8-1 and 3-4-1 in the conference
The Eagles are coming off a tough 4-3 loss to Wake Forest on Thursday night. BC took the lead in the 58th minute of the match on Hayley Dowd’s second goal of the game.
Wake Forest scored two goals in the final 22 minutes of the game.
Duke is coming off a 3-1 loss to No. 4 Virginia on Thursday night. The lone goal for Duke was scored by Toni Payne. It was her sixth goal of the season. Goalkeeper EJ Proctor had six saves in the loss.

BC vs. Duke
This will be the 12th meeting between Boston College and Duke. The Blue Devils leads the overall series 5-4-2.
Last season, Boston College defeated Duke, 4-1, behind three goals from Stephanie McCaffrey, while Alexandra Johnson earned the win with four saves in goal … This is the second consecutive season that the two teams will meet and neither team is ranked … Duke has won three of the last four matches.
Leading Ladies
Stephanie McCaffrey and Hayley Dowd are two of the most dangerous offensive players in the ACC. McCaffrey has scored six goals and added seven assists for 19 points, while Dowd has 14 goals and three assists for 31 points.
Dowd leads the conference in goals scored (14) and is second in points (31). She is also leads the ACC in game-winning goals with five. The sophomore from Peabody has scored a goal or assists in 10 of the 17 games this season. She also has a four-game goal scoring streak – two vs. Virginia, one vs. Louisville, one vs. NC State and two against Wake Forest.
McCaffrey, a senior, leads the team in assists with seven. She has notched a goal or assist in eight games this season. A native of Winchester, McCaffrey is 10th in the conference in points scored (19) and fourth in assists (7).
Senior Day
The women’s soccer program will honor the senior class – Emily Hoffend, Alexandra Johnson and Stephanie McCaffrey – prior to the final regular season game on Saturday, Nov. 1 vs. Notre Dame (7 p.m.). The ceremony will begin 15 minutes prior to the start of the game.
Throw Ins
• Stephanie McCaffrey became only the fourth BC player to reach 90 career points when she notched an assist vs. Wake Forest. McCaffrey is now fourth on the all-time point list behind Victoria DiMartino ’13 (93 points), Sarah Rahko ’03 (94 points) and former teammate Kristie Mewis ’13 (116 points).
• Hayley Dowd has five game-winning goals this season. She is only the sixth player in program history to record five game-winning goals. The record is nine, which was set last season by McKenzie Meehan.
• Freshmen Allyson Swaby and Madison Kenny have played in every game this season. Swaby has earned 17 starts, while Kenny has 16.
• Only six players have started and playing in every game – Stephanie McCaffrey, Hayley Dowd, Coco Woeltz, Lauren Bernard, Allyson Swaby and Meg MacDonald.
• Junior Jillian Lutz has played in a career-high 17 games and stared 16 of those games.
