Doherty, McCoy Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior defenseman Teddy Doherty (men's hockey) and sophomore forward Eryn McCoy (field hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Doherty earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors following the Eagles' first win of the season at RIT. He recorded his second-career three-point performance with a goal and two assists and notched his first-career game-winning goal after lighting the lamp at 2:59 of the second period at Blue Cross Arena. Doherty was a team-high +4 on the evening, falling just short of his career-best +5.
McCoy had a had a great weekend in Boston College's two wins over No. 7 Louisville and California. She scored both of the Eagles' goals against the Cardinals, one of which was a game-winner in overtime. McCoy continued her point streak against the Golden Bears when she scored the Eagles' first goal and recorded an assist. McCoy's seven points this weekend gives her a team-best 21 points on the season.
No. 6 men's hockey (1-1-0) hosts Colorado College and Massachusetts this weekend in Conte Forum. No. 14 field hockey (11-5, 2-3 ACC) hosts No. 8 Virginia on Friday night in Newton.
