
Rowing Completes Head Of The Charles Regatta

Boston, Mass. - Women's rowing competed at the 50th annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass. on Saturday and Sunday. Four boats raced for the Eagles at the prestigious event.
In the 12:59 p.m. Women's Alumni Eights race, BC placed 24th with a time of 18:34.62. The race was was 4,800 meters long. The winning time was 15:56.65 rowed by the University of Michigan Alumni. The BC Alumni boat was directed by Coxswain Lauren Beebe (`14) and rowed by Liz Keyser (`09), Trish Milla (`09), Megan Carmody (`11), Erin Flaherty (`10), Liz Millar (`06), Emily Charnowski (`12), Victoria Goetz (`13) and Karen Shu (`14).
BC's next race was the Women's Club Fours, directed by Coxswain Meghan Bailey and rowed by Catherine Goldberg, Morgan Rann, Haley Clarke and Claire Mason. The Eagles finished the 4800 meter race in 19:35.18, good for 18th out of 59 boats, 1:15.99 and 6.91% behind the leader, Fordham who finished with a time of 18:19.19.
The Women's Club Eights finished 14th out of 34 with a time of 17:28.12. The Club Eights boat was directed by Coxswain Anna Tenzinger, Caroline Henry, Maclaine Sisco, Alicia McKean, Shannon Healey, Michaela Jaffe, Chelsea Robin, Amanda Jenkins and Rachel Hess. The Women's Club Eights race was won by Brown in 16:09.90. The Eagles were 8.07% and 1:18.23 behind the Bears.
Women's Championship Eights raced at 2:18 p.m. on Sunday. The Champ Eights finished 22nd out of 34 in 17:37.76. The race was won by Cambridge in 15:44.79. The Eagles' boat was directed by Coxswain Kaitlyn Vottaand rowed by Makenzy Brown, Ellen Burr, Alycia Da'Loia-Moore, Megan Carney, Erin Anderson, Grace Grunau, Caitlin Yaccarino and Margaret Hanlon.
