Field Hockey Earns 2012 NFHCA Academic Team Award

2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Teams

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College field hockey team was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for its academic achievement as a team. The NFHCA honored the top programs earning a 3.0 grade point average or above and BC was one of teams to earn recognition as a 2012 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award recipient.

All six of the Atlantic Coast Conference field hockey schools - BC, Duke, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Wake Forest - earned the accolade. Duke was one of the seven schools to earn top performance honors, tying for the third-highest GPA in the nation.

Recently, senior Jacqui Moorfield and juniors Virgynia Muma and Paige Norris All-ACC Academic team honors.
