Mark McDevitt Joins Boston College Women's Soccer Staff

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Mark McDevitt was named an assistant coach with the women's soccer program, according to an announcement today made by BC head coach Alison Foley.
A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, McDevitt has been a volunteer assistant coach at Boston University for the last two seasons. Prior to working at BU, McDevitt was an assistant coach with the Boston Renegades W League from 2008-2009. He also served as the interim head coach with the team in 2007.
McDevitt arrived in the US in 2000 and held a number of coaching and administrative positions at Global Premier Soccer in Massachusetts. He has 13 years of coaching experience in the US and currently holds an USSF B license.
A graduate of the University of Ulster, Magee, McDevitt was a member of championship teams at the college, high school and club team levels. He was a goalkeeper and played for five years in the professional Irish League in Northern Ireland
