W. Swimming Places Fifth at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON, MA.--Boston College Men’s Swimming took first place at the Terrier Invitational hosted by cross-town rival Boston University. The Eagles took on UMass and BU and edged out the Terriers by a slim 43 point margin. This win marks the men’s five win of the season, leaving them with a 5-2 record overall. The Eagles received a stellar performance from sophomore Dan Kelly. Kelly placed first individually in M 50 yd freestyle, M 100 yd butterfly, and M 100 yd freestyle. He also contributed to victories in the M 200 yd freestyle relay and M 200 yd Medley Relay. Dan’s performances earned him a nomination for Eagle of the Week.
Boston College Women’s Swimming placed 5th out of 6 teams, which included U of Vermont, UMass, BU, UNH, and Northeastern.
The Eagles scored a total of 500 points over the weekend. The Eagles look to hit the water again this Saturday at 1 o’clock against the Purple Cows of Williams College in Chestnut Hill.
