Kelly Hughes Earns ACC Rookie of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Freshman Kelly Hughes captured Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
This marks the first honor for a BC player this season.
Hughes, a native of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, averaged 13 points and 7.5 rebounds in a pair of wins for the Eagles this past week. Hughes had 12 points and seven boards in the win over Boston University on Wednesday. She went 4-for-8 from the three-point line in the win.
Against New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon, Hughes shot 5-for-10 from the floor, 4-for-8 from long range and grabbed eight rebounds to finish with 14 points in the win.
Hughes is fifth in the ACC in three-pointers made (27) and fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (46.6). She is third on the Eagles in scoring (9.8 ppg.) and third in rebounding (4.9 rpg.).
