Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team will host Boston University on Wednesday, December 11 at 7 p.m. The Eagles are now 4-5 on the season, while BU is now 3-6.
BC is coming off a, 65-45, victory over Hartford on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles were led by Kristen Doherty with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Katie Zenevitch chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Nicole Boudreau added 11 points and eight rebounds in the win.
This will be the 20th meeting between Boston College and Boston University. The Terriers have won the last two meetings. Last season BC lost at BU, 52-46. The first meeting between the two teams took place on Jan. 17, 1978 at the Roberts Center. BC lost, 70-41. BC's first win over BU came in the 1983 season as the Eagles squeezed out an, 53-52, victory on the road.
Boston University is coming off a victory over UMass-Amherst, 66-63, on Wednesday. Senior Rashidat Agboola led BU with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Danielle Callahan added 16 points.
This is the second of four consecutive home games for the Eagles. BC will host New Hampshire on Sunday, Dec. 15 (3 p.m.) and Holy Cross on Saturday, Dec. 21 (5 p.m.). Tickets can be purchased online or prior to game time at the gate.
