Ayla Brown To Sing National Anthem On Saturday, Nov. 9

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball program announced today that former forward and "American Idol" finalist Ayla Brown '10 will sing the national anthem prior to the Eagles home opener against No. 3 Stanford on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
This will be Brown's first appearance at Conte Forum since Senior Day, 2010. The former Eagles forward is currently living in Nashville, Tennessee and released her second album in November of 2012, Heroes and Hometowns. All songs were recorded at CURB Studios in Nashville, TN, and a portion of every CD sale benefits a military non-profit based out of Massachusetts called Hugs for Heroes, Inc.
Brown played at Boston College from the 2006-07 season until she graduated in 2010 with a degree in communications. She finished her career with 880 points and 667 rebounds. As a freshman, she was an ACC All-Freshman Team honor roll recipient and led the team in steals in her first two seasons.
