W. Swimming Falls to Northeastern in Season Opener

BOSTON- Boston College Women’s Swimming lost their opener this weekend to cross-town rival Northeastern, 186-109.
BC received an outstanding performance from Sophomore Maureen Barron who placed first in the 100 yard freestyle event with a time of 53.98, edging the second place finisher by only half a second.
The Eagles also finished first in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Junior Emily Downs, Sophomore Maureen Barron, and Freshmen Madeline Mailliard and Grace Kunkel combined for a time of 1:40.69.
The Eagles look to bounce back this weekend against Bryant this weekend in Smithfield, RI.
