Meehan Earns ACC Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Sophomore McKenzie Meehan has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.
Meehan, a native of Smithfield, R.I., scored four goals, including two game-winning goals to lead Boston College to two ACC victories this past week. Meehan notched the only goal in a win over No. 9 Wake Forest on Thursday. She followed it up with a three-goal game in the Eagles 3-2 road win at NC State on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles forward now leads the ACC and team in goals scored (10) as well as game-winning goals with six. Boston College is now 6-5 on the season and she has scored the game-winning goal in all six victories.
Meehan was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Player the Week for her four goal week.
The Eagles will travel this week to play at No. 3 Florida State on Thursday night at 7 p.m. BC will host Duke on Sunday at 1 p.m. Admission for the game is free.
