
Gajic and Muppidi Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College tennis players seniors Akash Muppidi and Katarina Gajic were named to the 2012 All-ACC Academic Teams, announced by Atlantic Coast Conference commissioner John Swofford. To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a career GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Muppidi, a recent graduate who majored in finance in the Carroll School of Management, earned All-ACC Academic Team all four years at The Heights. He consistently played in the No. 1 singles and doubles position for the Eagles. He and partner senior Alex Skinner finished the season ranked 43rd in the nation and first in the Northeast. The Trumbull, Conn., native is BC's first and only All-ACC selection, earning the honor for three consecutive years. He was also named ITA Northeast Region Senior of the Year.
