Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Three members of the Boston College women's tennis team were recognized for academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Recent graduate Katarina Gajic and rising seniors Olga Khmylev and Kelly Barry collected individual accolades as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
"I'm very proud of our efforts in the class room and on the tennis courts," women's Head Coach Nigel Bentley said. " It takes smart, motivated and responsible student-athletes to achieve this award."
Since 2003, the women's team has had 17 student-athletes garner 27 awards. Gajic, a ACC All-Academic team member, is a two-time recipient, while the honors are the first for Khmylev and Barry.
