
Men's Tennis Falls to Florida State

Longmeadow, Mass. - The Boston College men's tennis (3-3, 0-2 ACC) team fell to Florida State (9-2, 1-0 ACC), 6-1, Wednesday evening at the Grande Meadows Athletic Club in Longmeadow, Mass.
In singles action, senior Akash Muppidi put in a strong showing against Jordan Kelly-Houston in tightly-contested 6-7, 7-6 matches before falling in the extra session 10-7. Freshman Philip Nelson took the only singles match of the competition (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) against Seminole Benjamin Lock.
Muppidi along with fellow senior Alex Skinner defeated FSU's Blake Davis and Jordan Kelly-Houston, in No. 1 doubles, 8-4, while the Seminoles secured the remaining two doubles victories for the point.
The Eagles return to the court next Friday, Feb. 24 to take on Brown University in Providence, RI at 4 p.m.
