MXC Finishes Fourth at IC4A Championships

Bronx, N.Y. – The Boston College men’s cross country team finished fourth (117 points) at the IC4A Championships on Saturday and concluded their 2012 campaign with their third lowest point total of the season. The Eagles scored five members in the top 35 and dramatically improved on last season’s 13th place finish at the event.
Senior Louis Serafini recorded a team best 14th with a mark of 25:37.4 for the 8K course while Jordan Hamm (21st, 25:46.4) and Anthony Bellitti (22nd, 25:48.5) finished right behind.
Boston College’s top five was rounded out by Tyler King (25:57.7) and Jack Linehan (26:07.2).
James Newhouse (47th, 26:20.0), Joseph McConaughy (58th, 27:13.1), Collin Fedor (74th, 26:49.4), Michael Mahoney (109th, 27:37.1), David Taranto (114th, 27:52.1), and Shane Constantine (115th, 27:54.1) also competed at the event for the Eagles.
Boston College will open the indoor track season at the Jay Carisella Invitational on December 1.
