Hanover, N.H. - The No. 5 women's hockey team (4-3-1, 3-2-1 WHEA) go out of conference up to Thompson Arena to take on the Dartmouth College Big Green (4-1-0, 3-1-0 ECAC) on Monday night. The Eagles are coming off a 6-1 victory over Providence last Wednesday night while Dartmouth defeated UNH on Tuesday by a score of 3-2.
The Eagles got goals from six different players, freshman defenseman Lexi Bender recorded her first three career assists, and goaltender Corinne Boyles stopped 17 shots to improve to 3-1-0 this season. Alex Carpenter extended her point streak to six games (7-6-13) while Haley Skarupa vaulted up to third in the Hockey East rookie scoring race (4-5-9).
The Eagles and Big Green meet for the first time since BC's 4-3 win on October 23, 2011 at Kelley Rink. Emily Field's three points helped erase a 3-0 first period deficit including her game-winning goal with just 1.6 seconds remaining in regulation.
This season, the Big Green is led by seniors Camille Dumais (3-3-6) and Reagan Fischer (2-3-5) and by junior goaltender Lindsay Holdcroft who is 3-0-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .900 save percentage in three games.
The Eagles will be back in Hockey East action this weekend with a home-and-home set against No. 8 Northeastern on Friday at Matthews Arena and Sunday at Kelley Rink.
Notes: Dartmouth leads the all-time series 20-3-2 ... BC is 0-11-1 all-time on the road at Dartmouth ... Alex Carpenter and Haley Skarupa each had seven shots on goal against Providence on Wednesday.
