McCaffrey Earns ACC Co-Player Of The Week

Chestnut Hill, MA - Junior Stephanie McCaffrey has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for her three-point performance in a 1-0-1 week for Boston College.
McCaffrey shares the ACC honor with Virginia's Caroline Miller who had three goals and an assist in a 5-0 win at Virginia Tech on Sunday.
The Winchester, Mass., native tallied a goal and assist in the 3-2 victory over then unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Florida State. McCaffrey led the offense with three shots in the match. BC was the first team to score on the Seminoles since Sept. 7 (nine games). The three goals were the most given up in a single game by FSU this season.
McCaffrey has set career-highs in goals scored (nine), assists (six) and points scored (24) this season. She has scored two-goals in three games this season (vs. BU, Virginia Tech and NC State). McCaffrey has tallied two game-winning goals, including both goals vs. Virginia Tech in a 2-1 victory.
BC (10-5-3, 4-4-1 ACC) faces No. 11 ranked Virginia (12-4-1, 5-3-1) on Thursday night in Charlottesville at 7 p.m. Depending on the result of the match, the Eagles will travel to a sight to be determined for the first round of the ACC Tournament.
