WXC Travels to Lehigh for Paul Short Run

Chestnut Hill, Mass. –The Boston College women’s cross country team is making its way to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run on Friday, Sept. 30 at 11:45 a.m. The meet based out of Bethlehem, Pa., will bring together six nationally ranked teams, as well as 25 regionally regarded programs.

The Eagles will rely on veterans Jillian King, Hope Krause, Elizabeth O’Brien, Allison Stasiuk and Madeline Wallace, as well as several emerging players to fare well in the competition.
The Paul Short Run will be the first true test for BC, who executed a near sweep of the UMass Invitational two weeks ago. The Maroon and Gold had been nationally ranked prior to the latest poll, but recently slipped just out of the top 30 and now stand at No. 7 in the Northeast Region.
USTFCCCA No. 1 Georgetown tops the field of 45 schools. No. 3 Providence, defending NCAA champion and No. 5 Villanova, No. 9 Duke, No. 12 Syracuse and No. 16 Virginia will also be on hand.
Other Boston College rivals attending include ACC familiarity North Carolina and Northeast foes Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, Yale and Harvard.
