Fencing Announces 2011-12 Schedule

Two meets on campus, the annual NEIFC/NEWIFA Invitational in November, and the fifth annual Fencing Beanpot in February highlight the 2011-12 Boston College Men's and Women's Fencing schedule.
Head coach Syd Fadner's Eagles open the season at the NEIFC/NEWIFA Invitational at Smith College on Nov. 5 and will compete in one other meet during the fall semester--at Brandeis University on Dec. 4.
On Jan. 28 BC will host a Northeast Fencing Conference meet at the William J. Flynn Recreation Complex on Boston College's campus. The home meet will be the team's first home meet since January 23, 2010.
After meets at Brandeis and UMass Amherst, on Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 respectively, Boston College will partake in the fifth annual Fencing Beanpot on Feb. 14, one day after the completion of the 60th annual Men's Ice Hockey Beanpot.
The Eagles will round out the season with the New England Collegiate Championships at Vassar on Feb. 25, the NCAA Northeast Regionals on Mar. 11 at the Flynn Recreation Complex, and with the NCAA Championships in San Antonio, Texas from Mar. 22-25.
Boston College looks to have another successful season under the senior leadership of men's captains Brian Like and Peter Souders and women's captains Gabriella Goode and Chelsea Rosenbauer.
