Boston College head field hockey coach Ainslee Lamb has continued to work with the US junior national teams this summer and is now serving as head coach of the U17 team, while BC associate head coach Chris Clements served as an assistant coach with both the US men's national team and the U21 men's team this summer.
Lamb recently coached at the US junior national camp (July 12-15) where the top 100 athletes from the U17, U19, and U21 age groups gathered to compete for places on the 2011-12 national teams.
"I thoroughly enjoy coaching in the US national team program," Lamb said. "The opportunity to work with the best players in the country is exciting and challenging."
Prior to coaching the U17 team, Lamb served as an assistant coach and head coach of the U21 team, leading the team to its first series win over Germany in the history of the junior national team program.
Lamb will travel with the U17 team to Argentina in 2012.
Clements worked with the US men's national team in July during the Champions Challenge II Tournament in Lille, France. The tournament appearance marked the first time in the history of the men's team that the program was selected to compete in the tournament. Clements also assisted with the U21 men's team during the California Cup in May.
He will travel with the US men's national team to the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in October.
