Eagles Compete on National Level

Chestnut Hill, MA- It has been a very busy offseason for the Eagles, as several players will be competing for their respective national teams. Paige Norris and Jacqui Moorfield will return to Canada and New Zealand respectively, and compete in the equivalent national championships in their native countries. In addition, ten Eagles have been selected to the training squad and compete for a spot to represent the New England region as part of USA field hockey's High Performance National Championships, which also double as an opportunity to be selected to the National Senior and Junior teams. Boston College head coach Ainslee Lamb will coach the New England Senior team for her fifth year.

The Boston College women's field hockey team also has several incoming athletes competing on the national stage. Newcomer Sarah Hospodar was named to the USA U19 team. The team traveled to Santiago, Chile, where they competed against the Chilean Junior National Team as well as top local clubs.
In February, incoming athlete Maura Keith was named the U19 MVP at the International Indoor Hockey Championship, hosted in a joint venture by Big Apple Hockey and Field Hockey America in Feasterville, Pennsylvania.
In addition to Keith and Hospodar, incoming athlete Emma Plasteras was a member of the U19 Canadian national team that recently defeated the USA U19 team. Plasteras will also compete for Canada in the Senior National Championships in Victoria, BC from June 29th - July 3rd.
