Track Puts Together Solid Performances At New England Championship

New Haven, Conn. - Matthew Adetula, Brian Hughes and Michael Keebler scored points for the Boston College men's track and field team on the second day of the New England Outdoor Championship on Friday. The Eagles totaled 11 points in seven events.
Hughes led the Eagles in the 10,000-meter run. The graduate set a personal record of 31:16.73 to take fourth place and tally five points for BC. Theodore Doyle came in at 31:44.55 for ninth place, followed by Akash Chougule in 32:22.32 and James Glover at 33:18.49.
With a 14:52.36 clip, Keebler added another five points with a fourth place finish in the 5,000 meters.
Adetula soared to 6.99 meters (22-11.25 ft.) to claim eighth in the region and secure one point.
Rounding out the day for BC, Kellen MacDonald set a personal best of 55.34 in the 400-meter hurdles, Mathew Kosmas hit 50.28 meters (164-11.0 ft.) in the hammer throw and Joseph Stuart was clocked at 22.67 in the 200-meter dash.
