BC Fencing Competes at NCAA Northeast Regionals

Boston College placed five fencers in the top 15 of each of their respective divisions and had one qualifier for the NCAA National Championships during competition at the NCAA Northeast Regionals at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Peter Souders qualified for the National Championships with his ninth place finish in men's sabre, and Jennifer Colacino qualified as an alternate with her seventh place finish in women's foil. Souders will compete in the National Championships for the third consecutive year.
BC's three other fencers to finish in the top 15 at Vassar's Walker Field House on Sunday included, Albert Starshak with his 14th place finish in men's epee, Anabel Young with her 11th place finish in women's epee, and Chelsea Rosenbauer with her 12th place finish in women's sabre.
Souders will conclude the fencing season for the Eagles at the National Championships hosted by Ohio State University from Thursday, March 24 to Sunday, March 27.
