Another Milestone For Swords
Carolyn Swords was named All-ACC first team for the second consecutive season. She is the first BC player to earn the honor since the Eagles joined the ACC. Swords was recently named a finalist for the State Farm All-America Team and is on the Region 2 All-America team.
She was named to the Naismith Top 30 Midseason Watch List in February. Swords', who earned ACC Player of the Week status twice this season, was on the preseason Naismith Watch list as both a junior and senior. These are just more accomplishment to add to her amazing career at BC.
Swords notched her 14th double-double in the ACC first round game vs. NC State. She scored 27 points and had 12 boards on her way to an ACC leading 44th career double-double. In that game she also moved into the No. 2 spot on the all-time scoring list with 1,978 points. Swords' is currently averaging 17.6 points and 9.0 rebounds this season.
One of her most impressive outings this season came on Feb. 3rd when she went 11- for-11 from the floor, scored 28 points and had 11 boards in the win over Virginia Tech. It was the 10th time in her career that she was perfect from the floor. Her personal best was 9-for-9 vs. Vermont on March 24, 2008 in the WNIT. Swords picked up the All-Jesuit College Player of the Week award on Jan. 10 for her play as she averaged 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds.

Murph's Turf
Stefanie Murphy is enjoying her most successful season at Boston College. The senior is averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds a game, while earning a career-high 11 double- doubles this season.
The last month Murphy has battled with a nagging ankle injury but continued to play.
An All-ACC third team selection, Murphy is just eight points away from moving into the fourth spot on the all-time scoring list. Murphy now has 1,684 points.
A native of Londonderry, Murphy is now second on the all-time rebound list with 920 boards. The senior has also reached the 200 career assist mark and has over 100 steals.

Murphy has set a career-high this season in double-doubles with 12. Early in the season she notched five straight double-doubles and on senior day vs. Maryland notched 201 points and 10 boards for 12 this season. She also has a new career-high in three's made with 20. She is shooting 36.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Three For BC
The team has currently hit 200 three-pointers, which is a new program record. The old record was set last season when the Eagles hit 188 three's. BC hit nine three's vs. Virginia on Feb. 20 to break the record. The Eagles are shooting 34.7 percent from the arc this season. Last season, BC shot 33.2 percent from the floor and took 567 from beyond the arc. This season BC has taken 577 three's, a new program record.
