Seven Eagles Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

Chestnut Hill, MA (Thursday, March 10, 2011) - Seven members of the Boston College field hockey team have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.
Graduate students Friderike Hauschildt, Jenny Raftery, Kristine Stigas and senior Janna Anctil, as well as freshmen Hannah Mulvey, Virgynia Muma and Nicole Schuster were all named to the National Academic Squad.
Stigas is a four time NFHCA award recipient.
In order to be named to the squad, the athletes must obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher for the first semester of the 2009-2010 academic year.
Hauschildt, Stigas and Schuster were also named to the 2010 All-ACC Academic Team, while Anctil was named the 2010 ACC Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year.
