Women's Basketball Prepares For NC State

The Boston College women's basketball team is the seventh seed in the upcoming 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, which will begin Thursday, March 3, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.
The 34th Annual ACC Women's Basketball Tournament is set to tip-off at approximately 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, March 3, and will conclude with a 1 p.m. championship contest on Sunday, March 6. The title game as well as the semifinals showings will be broadcast by Fox Sports Net (FSN) in HD, while the 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. games on Thursday, March 3, and Friday, March 4, will be televised on the league's regional package (RSN).
Duke defeated NC State last year in the ACC Tournament Championship game, earning the program its first conference tournament crown in six years. Duke owns six ACC Tournament titles, including a five-year stretch, the longest streak in ACC Tournament history. The Blue Devils will find out their quarterfinals opponent after No. 8 seeded Virginia takes on No. 9 seeded Wake Forest in the second game of the four-day event.
