John Maloy Places Third in 500 Freestyle at ECAC's

Senior John Maloy competed at the ECAC Open Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend at the University of Pittsburgh. Maloy placed second in the preliminary of the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:33.12. He followed that up with a third place finish in the finals with a 4:32.76.
The Eagles 200 Freestyle relay team placed sixth in the final. Dominick Boccio, Peter Ferguson, Collin Thilo and Alex Spaeth swam the race in 1:25.27.
Boston College's 400 yard medley relay team with Maloy, Michael Stephens, Dominick Boccio and Collin Thilo placed fourth with a time of 3:25.65. The teammates swam the preliminary in 3:27.94.
Through 12 events the Boston College men's team was fourth (111 points) behind Navy (234), Rider (141) and US Military Academy (127).
