Tennis Eager to Hit the Courts After 12 Day Hiatus

After 12 days since beginning ACC play 2-0 for the first time in school history, the Boston College women's tennis team will resume its season with three matches from Feb. 24-27.
On Thursday, Feb. 24, the Eagles (3-3, 2-0 ACC) will host Rhode Island (2-2) at 5 p.m. in the William J. Flynn Recreation Complex. BC will then square off against No. 63 Purdue (6-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Weymouth Club, in Weymouth, Mass., before traveling to Hanover, N.H. to meet Dartmouth (4-4) the following day at noon.
The Eagles are 2-1 in matches decided by one point and will be looking to upset Purdue's No. 17 doubles pairing of Schmidt/Robot and Dartmouth's No. 122 singles player in Molly Scott.
Junior Kataina Gajic leads BC's charge with a 5-1 record, having played on singles courts three, four and five, while Sophomore Alex Kelleher adds an impressive 4-2 record at No. 1 singles so far this season.
Kelleher and doubles partner sophomore Olga Khmylev are .500 through six matches in the No. 1 doubles and Gajic has combined with senior captain Katharine Attwell for a team-leading 4-2 record.
