New Orleans, La. -
The Boston College men’s cross country team was selected as a 2010 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division I All-Academic team.
“We are honored to receive this distinction,” Head Coach Matt Kerr said. “Here at Boston College, we really emphasize the importance of being a well-rounded individual who will be prepared for life after college. The team really embraces that message, which was seen by the effort they put into their season and now here for their achievements in the classroom. It’s great to have a group like this be recognized on national level for all of its hard work.”
To qualify for the award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five student-athletes at their respective regional championship. Each team member using a year of eligibility is calculated into the team total.
This year, 152 institutions across 31 conferences received the accolade. Boston College was one of the eight schools to represent the ACC.
