FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Boston College lacrosse team will hold a fundraising clinic on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Framingham High School for girls in grades K-8, according to an announcement made by head coach Bowen Holden. The clinic is being held in honor of Billy Delorie, a member of the BC community.
Delorie, son of Conte Forum painter Keith Annese, suffered from muscular dystrophy and passed away on Oct. 19.
"Billy worked in Conte delivering packages and keeping us all smiling," Holden said. "He reminded us what is important in life as he made his way through Conte in a wheelchair."
Members of the 2012 BC lacrosse team will be on hand at the clinic to teach the game of lacrosse. All proceeds from the day's event will be donated to the Framingham Pop Warner Football B Team. Annese continues to coach this 7th grade football team that he and his son once coached together. The team recently won the regional championship, earning the chance to play in Florida for the first time ever. The B team is now raising funds in an effort to make the trip.
All interested participants can register at Framingham High on the day of the clinic prior to the 2:30 start time.
