Soccer America Honors Two Women's Soccer Players

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College midfielder Kristen Mewis and defender Casey Morrison were honored today by Soccer America. Mewis was named to the Soccer America MVP second team list, while Morrison earned All-Rookie second team status.
Mewis, a first team All-ACC selection, led Boston College in scoring this season with eight goals and six assists for 22 points. Mewis, a native of Hanson, MA, is currently with the US National team training in California until Jan. 21.
Morrison, a native of York, PA, played in 22 games, while starting 21 this season. She was a part of the defensive back line that helped the team earn 10 shutouts and have a .72 goals-against-average this past season. Morrison also had two goals and two assists for six points in her freshman campaign.
