No. 9 Women' Soccer Falls To Miami, 3-2

The Boston College women's soccer team fell short in a comeback effort last night in a 3-2 loss to Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The Eagles are now 9-2-2 and 4-2 in the ACC, while Miami is now 2-4-1 in the conference and 8-5-1 overall.
BC fell behind early as the Hurricanes scored just six minutes into the match. Blake Stockton headed in a corner kick from Tara Schwitter for the 1-0 Hurricane lead.
Miami went up 2-0 late in the second half on a goal by Fatima Nasser at 60:06.
Senior Julia Bouchelle scored off a header from Gibby Wagner at 72:38 to cut into the Miami lead. It was Bouchelle's second goal of the season.
Two minutes later, Miami went up 3-1 on a goal by Jordan Roseboro. Almost two minutes later, junior Victoria DiMartino scored off a feed from Bouchelle and BC was down one goal.
BC managed only two corner kicks to Miami's four in the match. The Eagles held a 14-10 edge in shots.
Miami is the first team to scored three goals on the Eagles since the 2010 season. Duke defeated BC 3-0 last season on October 21.
