No. 7 Boston College arrived in South Carolina on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles will have one training session before playing the Clemson Tigers on Sunday, October 2 at 1 p.m. This is the BC's only game this week. Fans can follow the game on www.clemsontigers.com or live stats.
The Eagles are currently in third place in the ACC with nine points behind Duke and Wake Forest tied in first place with 10 points. BC is the only unbeaten team in the ACC with a 3-0-0 record, the best start by the Eagles since joining the conference in 2005.
Clemson is currently 0-4 in the conference and 5-6 overall. The Tigers are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to Maryland on Thursday night. BC vs. Virginia Tech
The Eagles lead the head-to-head series against the Tigers, 5-1-1. Last year Boston College defeated the Tigers, 3-1, behind a goal and assist from Victoria DiMartino. The Eagles have outscored the Tigers15-2 in the eight matches played.
For The Record
Head coach Alison Foley notched her 200th overall career victory on Thursday, Sept. 22 with the 2-1 overtime win over Maryland. After the win over Virginia Tech, Foley now has 201 overall victories and is just three away from 200 wins at BC. In the last three years Foley has led Boston College to an impressive 59-17-7 overall record.
In her 14 years at Boston College, Foley has taken her team to the NCAA Tournament 10 times, including seven Sweet 16's, two Elite Eight appearance and one College Cup (2010). Foley is the winningest coach in the women's soccer program history.
Sensational Seniors
The senior class - Jillian Mastroianni, Julia Bouchelle, Alaina Beyar, Alyssa Pember, Stephanie Wirth and Marissa Mello - have amassed 60 victories thus far. The 2010 senior class, considered one of coach Alison Foley's most successful won 61 total games. That class included: Hannah Cerrone, Amy Caldwell, Natalie Crutchfield, Chelsea Regan, Jill MacNeil and Brooke Knowlton.
Between The Pipes
Senior Jillian Mastroianni leads the ACC in save percentage (.930) and goals-against-average (0.28). The senior who has won more games at BC than any other goalkeeper with 57, has let up only three goals this season.
Mastroianni now has 40 career shutouts, a new program record. The native of Durham, Conn. broke the program record with a 4-0 victory over Colgate on September 11.
In the ACC
Boston College is 35-22-12 in the ACC since joining the conference in 2005. While in the comforts of the Newton Soccer Field, BC is 21-8-3 against ACC opponents. The Eagles are 15-13-4 on the road against ACC opponents since 2005. In the last two years the Eagles are 7-3-1 away from Chestnut Hill, Mass.
In The Polls
Boston College inched up in the NSCAA Poll to No. 7 after two road victories. BC defeated Maryland and Virginia Tech on the road. BC is third in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll and placed sixth in the Soccer Times rankings. Soccer America has Boston College at No. 5 in its polls.

• Victoria DiMartino's game-winning goal vs. Maryland was the 10th in her career.
• She Seniors Alaina Beyar is the only field player to play every minute of every game. Freshman Casey Morrison is the only rookie to have started every game.
• Boston College has outscored its opponents 20-3 this season. The Eagles also lead opponents in shots, 151-64.
• CollegeSoccer360.com and Soccer America named Jillian Mastroianni to its Team Of The Week.
• Freshman Stephanie McCaffrey had two assists in the win over Virginia Tech. It was her first multiple-point game of her college career.
• Sophomore Kristie Mewis has two goals in the last two games. She now has six goals on the season with three assists to lead BC in scoring with 15 points. Mewis will play in today's game vs. Clemson but will then fly to California to attend the U.S. U-23 Unique National Team training camp. She will train with the team from October 3-7, causing her to miss the Duke game on Thursday, October 6.
• The Eagles are unbeaten at home in the last 12 games, dating back to the 2010 season. In the last four years, BC is 29-0-4 in non-conference games at home. The Eagles are 55-9-9 overall at home since the 2005 season.
• Assistant coach Kia McNeill was recently named to the 2011 WPS Best XI as selected by the media. McNeill played for the Philadelphia Independence, which lost to WPS Champion Western New York Flash on
