
Arnold Earns Hockey East Rookie of the Week Honors

Boston College forward Bill Arnold has earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors according to a league announcement made on Monday.
Arnold broke a 4-4 tie with an unassisted shorthanded goal in the third period of the team's 6-5 non-league win over Colgate (Dec. 30) in the opening game of the four-team Ledyard National Bank Classic at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
The Eagles defeated Mercyhurst 4-1 in the championship game the next night to capture the Ledyard Classic title.
Boston College, which has won its last five games, is 13-5-0 and is ranked No. 3 in the USCHO.com weekly poll released on Monday, Jan. 3. The team is back in action this weekend with a two-game home-and-home series against Providence beginning on Friday, Jan. 7 at Conte Forum at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles and Friars will conclude the series at Providence on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
Arnold, a Needham, Mass. resident, has played in all 18 BC games and has recorded seven points - four goals and three assists.
