Women's Basketball 2010-11 Schedule Announced

The Boston College women's basketball team will participate in two non-conference tournaments along with 14 challenging ACC games in the upcoming 2010-11 season. According to the schedule released today by the conference office, the Eagles will play in the University of Vermont Tournament, the Junkanoo Jam along with hosting the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The Eagles non-conference schedule included eight New England Schools - including the season opener at Boston University on Nov. 12, hosting Hartford on Nov. 15, playing both Vermont and Dartmouth in Burlington Vermont on Friday, Nov. 19 and 20, at Massachusetts on Dec. 5, at Holy Cross on Dec. 8, and hosting both Northeastern on Dec. 30 and Harvard on Jan. 6.
Boston College will also play former Big East rival Rutgers on Sunday, Dec. 12 at Conte Forum. Other non-league games include Seton Hall and either Auburn or Sacred Heart at the Jankanoo Jam in the Bahamas on Thanksgiving weekend as well as hosting Penn State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 2.
The ACC schedule will begin after two home games against Dayton on Jan. 3 and Harvard. BC will open up ACC play on Jan. 12 when the Eagles host North Carolina. BC has seven home ACC games including NC State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Miami and finishing the season on Sunday, Feb. 27 against Maryland.
The Eagles will also be televised five times this season. Those games are North Carolina at Conte Forum on Sunday, Jan. 9, at Miami on Sunday, Jan. 16, at Georgia Tech on Sunday, Jan. 23, at Wake Forest on Monday, Jan. 31 and at Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 20.
