Kristen Mewis Named NSCAA Player Of The Week

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College's Kristen Mewis was named the NSCAA National Player of the Week for her performance last week leading the Eagles over then No. 1 North Carolina and NC State. Mewis, as sophomore midfielder, was named the ACC Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Each week, a male and female player is selected by a committee from a nomination pool comprised of players of the week from each NCAA Division I soccer conference.
Mewis, a native of Hanson, MA, scored a game-tying goal and set up the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over North Carolina. In the second game of the week, Mewis scored the game-winning goal. She extended her point-scoring streak to eight games. Mewis has scored six goals and has eight assists for 20 points, all career highs.
