Women's Soccer Releases 2010 Schedule

The Boston College women's soccer team has announced their 2010 schedule. This season, the Eagles will play 10 home games, including a rematch against No. 2 Stanford on Friday, August 20.
The 2010 season has the Eagles pitted against seven teams who competed in the 2009 NCAA Tournament and seven teams who ranked in the final NSCAA Top 20 rankings in 2009.
The Eagles will open the season on Friday, August 20 under the lights at the Newton Soccer Field against the Stanford Cardinal. In other non-conference action, the Eagles will also host Hofstra, Brown, Yale and Central Connecticut.
In ACC play, the Eagles will host Maryland on October 7, Virginia Tech on October 10 and Clemson on October 17. BC will finish the regular season at home against Miami on October 28 and Florida State on October 31. In the five ACC games Boston College will host three teams earned a NCAA Tournament berth, with FSU advancing to the Elite Eight.
The Eagles will be on the road in five of the seven games in the month of September. The out of conference action opens up at Boston University on Friday, Sept. 3. The Eagles also added a road game against former Big East foe Rutgers on Sunday, Sept. 19 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
The conference road schedule for Boston College has the Eagles travelling at mid-season in four straight games. BC's conference schedule kicks off at No. 1 North Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 23. Three days later the Eagles will play at NC State. The following Sunday, October 3, Boston College will travel to Virginia to take on the Cavaliers. The final two road games will be at Duke on October 21 and at Wake Forest on October 24.
