Field Hockey Releases 2010 Schedule

Chestnut Hill, MA - Three Atlantic Coast Conference matches, including a Friday-night home contest against National Champion North Carolina will highlight the 2010 Boston College field hockey schedule.
The team will play 16 regular-season games - eight matches on its home turf at the Newton Campus and eight on the road.
The Eagles open their season at UMass-Amherst on Friday, August 27. Boston College will go on the road for three consecutive games thereafter against Providence, Quinnipiac and Holy Cross before playing cross-town rival Boston University in the home opener on Friday, Sept. 10.
BC will open its ACC schedule on Sept. 18 at NCAA finalist Maryland followed by a home match against Virginia on Friday, Sept. 24. After another home match against former Big East foe UConn on Sept. 26, and a road game at Durham, NC vs. Duke on October 2, BC will host four consecutive games - UNC on October 8, Yale on October 10, Northeastern on October 15, and UNH on October 17.
The Eagles will hit the road against Syracuse on October 24 and Harvard on October 17 before concluding the regular season at home vs. Wake Forest on October 30.
The ACC Tournament will be held from Thursday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 7 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina hosted by Wake Forest.
