Women's Soccer Players Headed to US Training Camps

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team has three players heading out with two of the US National Team youth programs. The Eagles, which finished the season at 18-4-2, will be represented on the US Under-23 team and the US Under-20 team in training camps this month.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jillian Mastroianni was named to a 24 person roster of top college players to train with U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team head coach Bill Irwin at a training camp at Oregon State University in Corvallis from April 18-25. During the camp, the U.S. U-23s will scrimmage Oregon State and the University of Portland.
The Under-20 National Team head coach Jill Ellis invited 26 players to training camp and Boston College freshmen Victoria DiMartino and Kristen Mewis were on the list. The two rookies will head to Carson, California to train with the team at The Home Depot Center. This training camp is part of the process to finalize the roster for the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup competition in Germany from July 13-August 1. While in California, the Under-20 team will play the Ajax women's club and the US Under-18 National Team.
